Decentralised offloading network for Operators

One of the current biggest trends in networking is decentralised networks – and improving their use both in terms of user experience and coverage. As companies deploy massive networks of Wi-Fi access points into people’s homes, businesses like restaurants and shops, and venues like stadiums and shopping centers, there is also a need for improved usage.

For the people and businesses who deploy the access point, the main driver is receiving some form of payment in return. In addition to conventional transactional models for renting out APs, sometimes these models include different models that use non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and/or cryptocurrency. For the company deploying the network, the benefit is offloading operators cellular traffic onto these APs on contractual basis.

With a massive network of access points and potentially multiple operators offloading their traffic onto the network, this use case requires flexibility and demands high performance from the system’s AAA server.
This is one of the use cases where Radiator Core shines. With its asynchronous processing and multi-threading, Radiator Core can meet the performance requirements of the most demanding networks – with for example parallel RadSec connections. Also, with the multi-vendor support of Radiator, authentication provider is not locked to one manufacturer. And with Radiator’s flexibility, it includes all the functionality and reliable logging systems extensions that can be used in billing. Radiator Core is the go-to product for decentralised network authentication.

Fiber-to-the-home authentication

FTTH (Fibre to the Home) services – using different PON (Passive optical network) technologies, such as GPON, XG-PON1, XGS-PON. Based on different estimates for consumer services in the industry, high-performance fibre access is needed more than ever.

Radiator Core’s performance can meet the performance requirements of the largest fixed-line deployments. The extensibility of Radiator Core allows for logging and billing systems integrations and the dashboard for monitoring makes it easy to follow how the network is faring.
